Lou Reed: Best of the Bowie Period
Apple Music
After leaving the Velvet Underground in 1970, Lou Reed was at a creative low. In '72, David Bowie, who was riding high in his Ziggy Stardust phase, co-produced Reed's second solo LP, the killer, glam-slanted Transformer. It was Reed's first hit record, and his next two—the beautifully bleak Berlin and the stunning live set Rock 'n' Roll Animal—showed more of Bowie's influence.
