Lloyd Banks Essentials

Of all the stars to come out of 50 Cent's G-Unit, his longtime Queens running mate Lloyd Banks is the crew's sharpest lyricist, with coldly precise delivery and an endless supply of wry wordplay. After displaying that wit on the singles “Stunt 101” and “Smile,” from the group's 2003 blockbuster Beg for Mercy, Banks went solo on 2004's The Hunger for More, which was packed with gleaming club bangers produced by Timbaland and Eminem. The album's 2010 sequel reaffirmed his status as a punchline king, with star-studded singles including “Start It Up” with Kanye West and Swizz Beatz.
