Playfully inventive and endlessly charming, the music Chloé Pelletier-Gagnon makes under her stage name of Klô Pelgag forms a world unto itself. While she filled her 2012 self-titled EP and her 2013 debut album L'alchimie des monstres with whimsical folk-pop marvels, she takes an obvious delight in experimenting with new shapes and forms on later releases like 2020’s Notre-Dame-des-Sept-Douleurs. The spacy electronic textures of “Rémora” and the sumptuous arrangement for “J’aurai les cheveux longs” both demonstrate the adventurous spirit that makes her one of the most unique and compelling figures in francophone pop.
