While Joker may not have the name recognition of his peers, few artists are as central to the sound of modern UK bass music as he is. Continually blurring the lines between dubstep and grime, the Bristol-based producer incorporates elements of hip-hop and techno, like squealing synthesizers from vintage g-funk and 8-bit videogame sounds. He's been a key player in the rise of American dubstep, paving the way for artists like Skrillex. A prolific collaborator, he's also worked with fellow producers Zomby, Rustie, and Flying Lotus, as well as UK songstress Jessie Ware.
