James Brown: '70s

In the ‘70s, the Godfather of Soul became the King of Funk. As the decades changed, so did Brown's band, and he and The J.B.'s (which briefly included Bootsy Collins on bass) recorded some of the thickest grooves ever heard, steamy combinations of peppy horn, nimble guitar, and near-psychedelic basslines. This is music that will make you move.
