Inspired by Santana

Carlos Santana's fusion of soaring guitar and Latin rhythms has been absorbed and built on by a raft of rock luminaries. Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble adopted the call and response between bluesy vocals and blistering guitar breaks. Los Lobos played up their trademark percolating percussion on “Kiko and the Lavender Moon,” while Prince nodded to Santana's pattering congas and creamy vocal harmonies on “And God Created Woman.”
