Indigenous Now

Here’s a playlist dedicated to surveying new music from Indigenous artists across North America. Because the effort here is to represent a people and not a style, sounds and sentiments will vary—politics, protest, introspection, celebration; folk, hip-hop, pop, and otherwise. But the range, in a way, is the point—proof that while the identity of artists from the First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities might be essential to their work, it’s never overriding. Our editors update this playlist regularly, so if you hear something you like, add it to your library.
