Over its six-year lifespan, this Montreal band served as a bridge between two dominant strains of '70s music: mellow singer/songwriter pop and high-concept progressive rock. Initially formed as a folk-based trio by guitarist/vocalist Serge Fiori, Harmonium would explore the psychedelic qualities of acoustic and woodwind instruments, becoming the rare francophone band of the era to develop a cult following among English Canadian audiences. This playlist compiles Harmonium's most laser-show-worthy moments, as well as Fiori's post-break-up pursuits with Quebec folk hero Richard Séguin.
