Guster formed in 1991 and quickly carved out a following in both the indie rock scene and the jam band circuit thanks to some seriously chunky hooks, eclectic instrumentation, and quirky songwriting. Following two self-released albums, the Boston-bred alt-rockers broke into the mainstream with the release of 1999's Lost and Gone Forever. Into the ‘00s and beyond, the group continued conquering the charts while maintaining an underground cult-like appeal, attracting fans from fellow idiosyncratic favourites Ben Folds and Rufus Wainwright.
