Glass Tiger burst out of the Toronto area in the mid-'80s with arena rock and gleaming pop. That's countryman Bryan Adams adding his gritty backing vocals to the brassy “Don't Forget Me (When I'm Gone),” as frontman Alan Frew squeezes emotion out of lines about broken hearts and dreams alike. The band also excel at glistening power ballads like the emotive “Someday,” while “Thin Red Line” goes widescreen as the sounds of a battlefield accompany martial snare rolls and high-stepping riffs. Finally, their Celtic roots show through on the heartfelt “My Town,” a stirring reminiscence bolstered by Rod Stewart's warm rasp.
