G-Unit Essentials

Though 50 Cent has always been the undisputed star of his crew, the members of G-Unit bring out the best in each other, from their influential mixtape work to big-budget hits like “Stunt 101.” Fiddy's original Southside Jamaica, Queens running mates were witty wordsmith Lloyd Banks and loose cannon Tony Yayo. Sometimes the group took on new members, including Nashville's charismatic Young Buck and, briefly, Compton's The Game. But in any configuration, the nucleus of 50 Cent's irrepressible trash talk and Banks' brilliant punchlines makes the Unit one of rap's most entertaining crews.
