Fabrizio Paterlini Essentials

Fabrizio Paterlini spent his early years logging time in rock, classical, and jazz bands around his native Mantua, a medieval city in the north of Italy. In his mid-30s, he turned his attention to sophisticated solo piano music, crafting appealing melodies imbued with a minimalist cadence and atmosphere. Paterlini continues to favour solo music, but he has occasionally gilded his themes with delicate string arrangements. He became a global phenomenon in 2020 when actor Chris Evans posted a video of himself playing one of his favorite Paterlini pieces, the lilting and tranquil "Rue des trois frères."
