Eagles: Ballads

As songwriters, the Eagles were a pretty special band, blending country and rock to slow-simmered perfection and punctuating their tunes with some of music's most searing guitar solos. But they were also particularly adept at crafting aching ballads and fiery love songs. These odes to wayward cowboys, old flames, cheatin' hearts, and the elixirs sought to ease the pain would help define the sound of Southern California in the ‘70s.
