He continued that pure distillation of body-moving joy on 2019’s “San Frandisco,” which scored him an ARIA Award for Best Dance Release for his compact documenting of the titular city’s intimate history with house music. Meanwhile, a savvy run of remixes and collabs set the stage for 2023’s international breakthrough with Canadian singer Nelly Furtado. Their track “Eat Your Man” pays loving homage to her 2006 hit “Maneater” while amplifying its lascivious impulses over pinging synth motifs and an equally tenacious beat.
