This Montréal group built their sound on a foundation of classic garage rock, as on the spirited “Johnny Depp.” But it wasn't long before they started incorporating jazzy riffs and prog structure into tracks like “Piano élégant.” After a half-decade hiatus, the group vaulted back into action with 2014's Tss Tss, an album reflecting an even more ambitious palette, including atmospheric tracks fit for soundtracks as well as chanson singing. Uptempo burners from 2016's Recontrer Looloo demonstrate that they haven't forgotten how to kick out the jams.
