Hailing from Quebec's Abitibi-Témiscamingue region, Chantal Archambault has been singing about love and inebriation since her 2008 debut, Collage. She's a colourful and literate francophone folkie whose palette includes country, bluegrass, and Cajun music, fitting into a noble Canadian lineage extending back to Joni Mitchell and Kate & Anna McGarrigle. Banjo and pedal steel guitar shine light into the darkened bedrooms where her research into mankind's strengths and weaknesses leads.
