Centavrvs are more than a regional Mexican music project. They draw on the experience of Latin music as a whole with bold trombones, slippery shakers, impassioned vocals and classic Mexican beat patterns, then add an experimental edge to their sound with smooth production and electronic elements. Cuts like "Sombras De Oro" show off their range of skills with Latin-inspired hand drums and salsa rhythms over a synth-driven soundscape, while the hazy, contemplative vocals of "Colibrí" are underlined with a melding of hand-plucked guitar, whistling and echoing synths.
