Carnaval

One of Brazil's biggest traditions, Carnaval is an event like no other. Taking place before Ash Wednesday, the entire country celebrates by partying for five days with dancing on the streets and amazing parades. Musically, tastes differ throughout the regions, with Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and Vitória favouring samba, and Bahia embracing the sounds of frevo and Axé music.
