Buddy Guy: The '60s

After establishing himself as a Chicago blues heavyweight through session work with Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf, Buddy Guy launched his solo career in the late '60s. Not only did he cut a string of stinging albums for Vanguard, but he also began a long, fruitful partnership with Junior Wells. It was this era's guitar heroics that made him a major influence on legions of blues rockers to come.
