On the wintry “Maundering,” a simple acoustic strum is turned eerie thanks to his trademark hushed vocals. He brings a similar brittleness to a cover of The Everly Brothers' “My Little Yellow Bird” recorded with Dawn McCarthy, on which their voices intertwine over gentle, folkish chords.
