Bluegrass Songs Sung By Country Stars

Country and bluegrass have always been kissing cousins. When bluegrass began in the '40s, it was still lumped in with the broader country-and-western scene. As bluegrass festivals began spreading in the '70s, the genres started growing apart. But the two genres continue to influence each other. A number of country stars got their start in the Appalachian roots tradition, and plenty others have freely crossed back and forth between styles.
