Following from fellow Mexican rockers Jumbo and DLD, Beta take their most obvious inspiration from Chris Cornell, whose heart-shredding croon is as suited to Soundgarden’s brooding grunge as Audioslave’s rap-rock stomp. But also present are traces of Soda Stereo’s New Wave drama, Foals’ head-nodding slinky rhythms, Björk's experimental bent, and even the funked-out beats of The Notorious B.I.G..
