Few genres are as satisfyingly onomatopoeic as dubstep. Born in the early '00s out of South London's bubbling UK garage club culture, that liquid bass sound is responsible for a new glossary of descriptive words. There's the womp of Benga's “Killers About,” the vworp of Horsepower Productions' “Fist of Fury,” and the globally famous wubwubwub, as heard to violent effect in Joker's “Tron.”
