Sam Valenti IV grew up as an underage and underground Detroit techno artist dubbed DJ SpaceGhost. Meeting electronic artist Matthew Dear at the University of Michigan, Valenti founded Ghostly International in 1998. A forward-thinking and artist-driven electronic label with a distinctive visual identity, Ghostly is home to acts as varied as Tycho, School of Seven Bells, and Gold Panda.
