Best of Dark Ambient

Ambient music is always atmospheric, but not all styles are alike: Sometimes relaxation takes a back seat to more unsettling sensations. Brian Eno's eerie Ambient 4: On Land remains a high-water mark of uneasy listening, as does Aphex Twin's similarly pensive Selected Ambient Works, Vol. II. At the far end of the spectrum, KTL use doom metal's tools to summon an exquisite sense of dread.
