Hearing fellow Québécois songwriter Richard Desjardins inspired soft-voiced troubadour Alexandre Poulin to write and perform his intimate fables. Then the chanson tradition of Jacques Brel and Georges Brassens fed him, as did the social conscience of Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen. He integrated the rambling folk rock of Beau Dommage and Harmonium, not forgetting old master Leonard Cohen.
