A&M Records: Classic Folk, Psych & Country Rock
Apple Music
Although A&M Records first made its name as L.A.'s premier easy listening label thanks to founder Herb Alpert's Latin-flavoured instrumentals, by the late '60s, they had quietly developed a solid stable of folk-rock, lite-psych, and early country-rockers. By the dawn of the '70s, A&M also harbored hip British acts including Joe Cocker, The Move, Fairport Convention, and Procol Harum.
