In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Since we met in high school, music has always been a huge part of our friendship. We were always creating music, singing in the car, or attending local concerts. Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Augustana, Augustana Bruce Springsteen, Born to Run Queen, Queen: Greatest Hits These albums really inspire the music we make today. The Augustana record was so beautifully produced the depth and emotion poured into that album may be the greatest record of all time. We draw inspiration from these artists and so many more. Tell us why you chose this song. “Stop the World” Jared: "Stop the World is a song about when my wife and I were engaged. We took a trip to California right before we got married and it was such a defining trip for our relationship. The world seems to move so fast, and I didn't want it to end." What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? We played a show for the 4th of July and even though we weren't the headliner, fireworks blasted off just above of us as we ended of our cover of Can’t You See by the Marshall Tucker Band, that felt like a very rockstar moment. It's the little things Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? We have always had the goal of having one of our songs in a major motion picture. Some of our earlier songs like Strange Feelings are directly inspired by movies.
