About Victoria Duffield

An Abbotsford, Nova Scotia-based pop singer, actress, and dancer, Victoria Duffield first caught the public's attention in 2010, at the age of 15, when she appeared on season three of the popular Canadian reality TV series The Next Star -- Duffield is also known for being the singing voice of Cherry Jam in the animated series Strawberry Shortcake's Berry Bitty Adventures. The following year saw Duffield issue her debut single, "Shut Up and Dance," which would ultimately go platinum and earn the young artist a MuchMusic Video Award nomination. Her hit debut long-player, also called Shut Up and Dance, arrived in 2012 and was nominated for a Juno Award in the Pop Album category. The next two years saw Duffield working to hone her chops with help from producers in Los Angeles, London, Toronto, and Vancouver, and in early 2015 she dropped her much anticipated sophomore LP, Accelerate. ~ James Christopher Monger
