In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I still remember that moment very vividly when as a toddler, I was mesmerized by 'Ik Pyar Ka Nagma Hai' sung by Lata Mangeshkar and that voice along with the haunting melody has stuck in my head for the rest of my life! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Santana, Supernatural (Remastered) Bonus Track Version Valentine Shipley, Memorable Ghazals of Jagjit Singh Vandana Vishwas, Meera - The Lover Meera - The Lover... is my debut album which I created with a lot of love. Supernatural is a work par excellence by Carlos Santana that boosts my morale as a World Music artist and Jagjit Singh's ghazals have inspired and shaped me since childhood. Tell us why you chose this song. “Mann Lago” In 'Mann Lago' Kabeer Das encourages us to live our lives minimally with love for all creatures and wonders why people are so arrogant when they know they will die eventually. It was a humbling and satisfying experience to compose and sing this epic! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Once I performed at University of Toronto's Great Hall, full of young students of music, none of them south Asians! Throughout the concert, there was no reaction, but when I finished, they erupted into a loud applause and gave me a standing ovation! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? At some point in future it is my dream to compose, sing and record all the rich historical Indian epics and present them to the world!
