Formed in 2009, UPPERCASE is a Filipino-Canadian pop rock indie band from Toronto, Canada pursuing Original Pilipino Music (OPM). Composed of Mark de Leon (vocals, guitars), Allan Lagat (bass), Joey Giagonia (lead guitars) and Kyle Saliva (drums). What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? UPPERCASE, Ligaw Na Tadhana - Single UPPERCASE, Tanging Ikaw - Single UPPERCASE, Time Space Warp "Time Space Warp", "Tanging Ikaw" and "Ligaw Na Tadhana" are the notable songs that highlight the songwriting maturity of the band from their earlier musical backgrounds of the late 2000s to the current sound of OPM relatable to new listeners. Tell us why you chose this song. “Tanging Ikaw” The band released its newest single "Tanging Ikaw" on February 9, 2019, which was featured on Spotify's New Music Friday Philippines playlist on its debut week, and has enjoyed popularity and heavy streaming from listeners in the Philippines. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? In 2015 the whole band went back home to Manila and performed gigs around the city to promote their music. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? The band released its newest single "Ligaw Na Tadhana" on March 23, 2023 and enjoys popularity and heavy streaming from listeners in the Philippines, which marks the band's evolution in songwriting and music production with Original Pilipino Music.
