In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I wanted to be a musician the second I saw a cover band of dads play a show when I was 3. Since then writing and performing music has been the most consistent obsession in my life. I grew up in a musical household that nurtured exploring genres. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Gorillaz, Demon Days Nirvana, Nevermind Protomartyr, The Agent Intellect Each album introduced me to a new genre and a new way of making music that was energizing. These three albums were played front-to-back hundreds of times upon discovery. They have shaped my understand of music as conveying feelings. Tell us why you chose this song. “Pines” This song was the first time a song literally came to me in a dream, fully formed. I scrambled to mumble it into my phone when I woke up. I was terrified that it was just going to be a song that already existed. Thankfully, it wasn't.
