About The Counselors

Quintet from Columbus, Ohio, who became local favorites and carved a name for themselves in the history of psychedelic punk music during 1968 with "Love Go Round," written by guitarist-singer Doug Faiella -- nearly four minutes of pure gold, solid rhythm playing over a fuzz-tone laden break that would've gotten a thousand imitators if only the Ironbeat label had gotten any serious distribution nationally. The other members during the period when that single was cut were Phil Robison on lead vocals, Murray Hendrickson on drums and vocals, Denny Stith at the organ, and Bob Condit playing bass and singing. ~ Bruce Eder
