Singer, songwriter, and social media personalityTerrell Grice went from hosting a YouTube show about music to making throwback R&B of his own. • Grice grew up listening to gospel music and singing in the church choir. He didn’t get into any secular R&B until his teenage years. • He studied film at Florida’s Full Sail University and moved to LA to work on casting for reality shows. • In 2018, he launched The Terrell Show on YouTube, wherein he’d review music and interview guests. Grice also used the channel to test the waters with his own music, posting Justin Bieber covers and original music, like his 2019 single “Yes, This Song Is About You…” • In January 2020, he released his 23-track debut album, An Invitation to the Cookout. He followed it up later that year with a record of live sessions, remixes, and extended tracks.
