In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember listening to my older brother freestyle in his room. He’d find beats on YouTube and rap for hours, and whenever he wrote a new verse, he’d always run it by me. He filled up notebook after notebook with lyrics. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Drake, Nothing Was the Same Frank Ocean, channel ORANGE Kendrick Lamar, good kid, m.A.A.d city (Deluxe) I was in high-school from 2010-2014 and it felt like such a special time in music, so many legendary artists in music were just breaking out at that time and every drop felt so significant. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Time (Note to Stranger)” At the time I was learning everything, writing, recording, producing. My homie made the beat for me and I wrote the song in my bedroom in pitch dark, it was during one of the hardest periods in my life. That song reminds me why I do what I do. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? TedxTalk for Toronto Metropolitan University. It’s crazy how as an independent artist who only just started growing their fan base that I got an opportunity like that. That was really validating I put in months working on the talk and memorizing it. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'd like to go on a world tour where I can host dance battles and have street dancers open for the shows. As a street dancer myself, I’m still competing, and I really want to give back to the community that shaped me.
