Singer/rapper Road Runner shares his gritty life experiences and how they’ve shaped him, using a melodic, distinct vocal approach. Born in Pakistan, the artist moved to Toronto with his family as an adolescent to escape civil unrest in his home country. By his teenage years, Road Runner had become enraptured with street life, and the details of those experiences served as material for his musical works. Road Runner’s 2019 breakthrough single, “Never Again,” became a regional anthem, largely due to the searingly honest lyrics, brooding piano, and haunting vocals.
