About Ray Angry

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I discovered the group Take 6. I loved their sound. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? J Dilla, Donuts He was a forward thinking music producer who changed the scope of music. I’m inspired by him because he was a visionary and used the tools in front of him without any preconceived notions. He was able to go deep and craft his own rhythmic soundscape. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Number One Love” They represent family. Number One Love honors my mother, father, and grandmother who have all passed away. Mother’s Love honors my mother. My mother was a powerful woman, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without her guidance. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of my most memorable moments in my career so far was the premiere of my first symphony, “Black Athena ~ POWER.” Being in the rehearsals and hearing my piece come to life from the pen to the stage was an unbelievable experience. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to collaborate with Bjork. I want to record with Kendrick Lamar. I’d love to do a Jazz and Classical orchestral piece with Wynton Marsalis and Branford Marsalis. Lastly, I want to create a TV series for my weekly live show, Producer Mondays.
