A member of the hip-hop group Little Brother and a solo artist, Rapper Big Pooh launched his music career while attending North Carolina Central University. There he met DJ/producer 9th Wonder and rapper Phonte; the three formed Little Brother in 1998. Signed to Atlantic, the trio hit their stride with 2005's sophomore LP The Minstrel Show, which was released the same year as Pooh's solo debut, Sleepers. 9th Wonder contributed to the MC's sophomore solo release, 2009's The Delightful Bars, and in 2010, Little Brother announced their disbandment. Mixtapes brought Pooh to 2014 and a solo record deal with Mello Music Group. Home Sweet Home, a collaborative album with producer Nottz, appeared in 2015. ~ David Jeffries
