In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was six I quit piano but changed my mind after a family concert at my grandparents' house in Chile. Everyone played except me, and watching them sparked my fascination. After that, I told my mom I wanted to start again—and I never looked back! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? D'Angelo, Voodoo Glenn Gould, Bach: Goldberg Variations, BWV 988 (The 1955 & 1981 Recordings) Radiohead, Kid A I first heard Kid A after a gig. A guy played Everything in Its Right Place, and I was instantly hooked. Voodoo confused me at first, but its rich harmonies and deep groove became an obsession. Gould’s 1981 Goldberg Variations redefined piano for me. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Marred In Silence” It began as a string quartet. Later, for my album Iterations I reworked it into synth and vocal versions. Unsure at first, I was amazed by the vocalists’ expressiveness. This experience inspired me to write more for vocal ensembles. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? December 2024, while touring with the Good Lovelies I played For Hershel, a song for my son, during their show. Performing it nightly, including at Toronto’s Massey Hall, was unforgettable. Sharing my music on that stage was a truly special moment.
