Toronto, Canada's Maryam Said (aka Poolblood) specializes in bedroom pop with their own production, blending in elements of punk and folk as they see fit. They began uploading music online in 2018, where it was noticed by Shamir, who then signed them to his record label Accidental Popstar for the release of their debut EP, 2019's Yummy. From there they caught the attention of Next Door Records, which released their debut album, 2023's Mole.
