In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I went to Leonard Cohen's last concert in my hometown of Winnipeg in 2013. I was 19 years old, had moved away for college, and was playing guitar alone in my dorm room. The poetry and lyrical brilliance of that concert showed me the power in a song. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Foy Vance, Joy of Nothing Jeff Buckley, Grace Rose Cousins, Natural Conclusion These albums have paved the path for me as a writer. I had Jeff Buckley's Grace on CD in high school, found the Foy Vance record when I started songwriting in college, and listened nonstop to Rose Cousins while first touring all around North America. Tell us why you chose this song. “Sanctity of Silence (Acoustic)” This song always sends shivers down my spine, no matter how many times I've played it or heard it. It's the title track off my 2023 record, but this acoustic version takes me back to the rawness of how I felt when I first wrote the song.
