About Naomi Punk
With a style that defines the sound of the Pacific Northwest as much as it reconfigures it, the Washington state trio Naomi Punk began as the solo project of Travis Coster and grew to include Neil Gregerson and Nicolas Luempert. Via self-released CD-Rs and cassettes, the band developed a sound inspired by grunge and its forebears and released their self-titled official debut album in 2009. Over the next couple years, the band toured consistently and spent 14 months in the studio. The first taste of Naomi Punk's new music arrived late in 2011 with the Spell single, a precursor to their second album, The Feeling, which was released by Couple Skate in April 2012. Captured Tracks re-released the album in November. ~ Heather Phares
