Montreal-based musician/performer Caila Thompson-Hannant came from the same fertile creative scene that gave birth to similarly minded artists such as Grimes, Majical Cloudz, and Sean Nicholas Savage. She took part in various bands, playing with acts like Miracle Fortress, Shapes and Sizes, and Think About Life before going solo in 2011 under the Mozart's Sister moniker. Her fragmented synth pop, with its enormous electro beats and smooth vocals, borrowed at once from both '80s radio hits and her more experimentally minded contemporaries. ~ Fred Thomas
