Michael Schenker

About Michael Schenker

Michael Schenker is an influential songwriter and proto-metal guitar virtuoso, known for playing with hard rock legends Scorpions and UFO before finding success as a solo artist in the late 1970s with the Michael Schenker Group. With his signature half-black, half-white Gibson Flying V, Schenker spent the next four decades at the fore of the hard rock scene, releasing a string of acclaimed solo albums while occasionally rejoining UFO as both a player and a producer. In 2021, he celebrated his 50th anniversary as a working musician with the release of the star-studded MSG effort Immortal, and continued to fly the melodic hard rock banner on 2025's Don't Sell Your Soul.
