Listening to old Elvis Presley 45's before speaking a word of English, then discovering The Rolling Stones, Bowie and other classics, all the while surrounded by old Portuguese Folk Instruments called "violas": with different tunings and strings. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? David Bowie, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars (30th Anniversary Edition) 30th Anniversary Edition Elvis Presley, That's the Way It Is (Deluxe Edition) The Rolling Stones, Exile On Main St. (Deluxe Edition with Bonus Videos) 2010 Remaster Bowie's "Ziggy Stardust" is a glam rock masterpiece, whereas The Stones' "Exile..." is a rock / soul extravaganza of the best kind. But Elvis, live in the 70s, was at his absolute best - from "That's the Way It Is" to "Elvis on Tour", amazing stuff. Recorded and mixed all analogue, at the amazing Clouds Hill studio in Hamburg, pressed on mono and stereo vinyl LPs. Perhaps also channeling a bit of Steve Marriott / Small Faces... What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? We just returned from playing the amazing Folk Alliance Festival in Montreal, and are gearing up for a very special show with the Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra at the Lisbon Tivoli Theatre, July 4th 2025 with the amazing Maestro Rui Ribeiro! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Absolutely! We'd love to play some shows together with XIXA, an amazing band we saw at SXSW a few years ago.
