In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. TLO: When I first heard wu-tang clan and the RZA's minimal but effective production. Also when I heard Tribe Called Quest and the producer J Dilla - taking samples and reinterpreting them from a production stand point blew my mind. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Lauryn Hill, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill Little Dragon, Little Dragon Sylvan Esso, Sylvan Esso Sylvan Esso -- this duo showed us what was possible between 2 musical worlds Lauryn Hill -- goes without saying this is one of the best albums of all time Little Dragon -- this music scratches the back of our minds Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Status Anxiety” This song is one of the first that "clicked" for us, showing us a musical story we could tell together. Robotaki and Kei-Li contributed to the beat and we laid vocals on the track in a leaky basement studio in Toronto's Chinatown. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? As a duo, it was really special to open for Lex Leosis and Sebastian Gaskin. It was also unreal to play these songs live for the first time at a small house show -- the sound was bad but the energy was great.
