Lauren Duski is a country-pop singer-songwriter who got her big break on the reality singing competition The Voice, finishing as the runner-up in 2017. ∙ She began performing as a child, played in a band during high school, earned a biopsychology degree, and then moved to Nashville to focus on her singing career. ∙ “Deja Vu”—her single from 2017’s The Complete Season 12 Collection (The Voice Performance) compilation—rose to No. 4 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. ∙ CMT honored her in its Next Women of Country Class of 2019, and she performed at the induction ceremony in Nashville. ∙ Her first post-Voice single, 2018’s “Costume Party,” debuted at No. 15 on iTunes’ US Country Charts and racked up over 400,000 streams in a few months. ∙ In 2019, Duski released her debut EP, Midwestern Girl.
