Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. As a small child I loved to sing along to my mother's music. The first album that I connected with was She's So Unusual by Cyndi Lauper. It is still one of my favourite albums of all time.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Gossip, Music for Men SOHN, Tremors She Wants Revenge, She Wants Revenge I love music that brings something new to the table, especially when it reinvents itself or its genre. I like a good turn of phrase, beats and imagination. I like an album that takes me on a trip.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Whispered Truths” Whispered Truths was the first song I ever recorded. It was written as a love letter to the sexual freedom of my early 20s.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The best moment in my career was the first time I found a remix of one of my songs on YouTube. It was a remix of the song Star from the album Earth Tones, and I loved it!
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would love to do some collaborations. When you work with someone else, you can create something that is new and different. Different is always good.
