About Kerser

An influential voice of Sydney, Australia’s scrappy western suburbs, Kerser has inspired many more young rappers to further map those dangerous streets. Born Scott Froml in Campbelltown in 1987, Kerser flexed his relentless, battle-trained attack on his 2011 debut album The Nebulizer, building his own legend with “Kerser Is the Sickest” and the EDM-laced “Don’t F**k with Kerser.” As if by self-fulfilling prophecy, his subsequent albums have shown increasing clout on the Aussie album charts, with every LP since 2013’s S.C.O.T. hitting at least the Top 10. Often working with a single producer across several records—first Nebs and later Sinima Beats—Kerser has also swapped verses over the years with his brother, fellow rapper Rates. While triumphant boasting may have defined his earliest work, he chronicles his struggles with addiction with notable sombreness on 2016’s “Bad Habits” and displays self-reflective maturity on 2021’s “Winner.”
