Kasper Marott

Kasper Marott produces and DJs euphoric, atmospheric club music drawing from trance, ambient techno, electro, and other styles. After scoring several underground club hits with tracks like the blissful Italo-disco throwback "Keflavik" (2018), he explored drum'n'bass, Balearic beat, and breakbeat house on his 2021 full-length debut Full Circle. Marott had been active throughout the Copenhagen club scene for years before he released his debut EP, KM TRAX1, on the Horse on Horse label in 2014. This was followed by Ro Pa on Oscillat Music in 2015. Marott's breakthrough came in 2018, when he was being featured on the Modeselektor-compiled Modeselektion, Vol. 04, and the duo's Seilscheibenpfeiler imprint released the Keflavik EP. Its bouncy, blissful title track became a club and festival smash, and helped shine a spotlight on the Copenhagen dance scene. The city's fast-rising Kulør label release Marott's Forever Mix EP, containing two lengthy trance-techno epics, in 2019. Marott co-founded the Axces collective/label the same year, and his Os To EP (with Alfredo92) was its first release. An extended version of the track Sol was released as a single by Seilscheibenpfeiler in 2020, preceding the Axces-issued full-length Full Circle in 2021. ~ Paul Simpson
